Job Overview

Direct the planning, development and implementation of facilities processes and procedures for multiple locations. Prepare and manage the development of short and long-term facility strategic plans.

Essential Functions

  • Direct the design for construction and/or remodeling of the facilities within scope of the role and oversee the administration of all outside contracts for space planning, architectural, engineering, and construction services.
  • Direct maintenance, security and utility management programs, including the implementation of security programs and systems.
  • Manage operations and maintenance including housekeeping, electrical systems, grounds maintenance, technical services, renovations, and relocations.
  • Manage facilities services operations including mail service, copy services and food services.
  • Oversee real estate site analysis and leases.
  • Lead the process of timely communication to employees regarding facilities, services, safety, and environmental information.
  • Prepare, supervise and adhere to facility budget, justifying exceptions as appropriate.
  • Regularly interfaces with Finance to ensure budgetary accuracy.
  • Establish and implement standards (office space, laboratory, furniture, equipment), ensure adherence to standards by departments and recommend modifications to standards when appropriate.
  • Work with other facility site managers to ensure all office equipment is used to maximum capacity.
  • Review and approve the development of building space plans based on growth plan; review with senior management to obtain agreement/suggestions/modifications.
  • Direct site permitting and inspections, Communicate to site management outcome of site inspections.
  • Manage safety programs and environmental services to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation.
  • Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems.
  • Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary administration.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prior work with laboratory sites, 5+ years' of experience preferred.
  • Project management experience.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $103,500.00 - $288,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits. Where you'll work
