Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled R&D Engineer – Electrical with practical knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies, electrical/electronic systems and product development.
The candidate will support EV research, system development, testing, troubleshooting, prototype integration and technical documentation. Practical use of AI tools for engineering research, coding and problem-solving is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct R&D activities related to EV powertrain systems and emerging automotive technologies.
- Work on EV components such as electric motors, motor controllers, BMS, VCU and power electronics.
- Assist in electrical/electronic circuit design, schematic preparation and hardware integration.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, validation and performance analysis of EV systems.
- Support EV prototype development, integration and technical demonstrations.
- Work with CAN communication and other relevant automotive communication protocols.
- Conduct technical research, feasibility studies, data analysis and root cause analysis.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or GitHub Copilot for research, coding, documentation and engineering productivity.
- Prepare technical reports, test reports, project documentation and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing engineering projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in R&D, EV systems, electrical/electronics engineering or product development.
- Must-have knowledge of EV architecture and core electrical/electronic systems.
- Understanding of batteries, BMS, motor controllers, power electronics and vehicle electronics.
- Practical familiarity with AI tools for engineering-related tasks.
- Basic understanding of circuit design, testing, troubleshooting and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with EV projects, prototypes or automotive electronics.
- Knowledge of CAN communication, embedded systems, microcontrollers and sensors.
- Exposure to battery testing, motor testing, BMS validation or vehicle control systems.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, AutoCAD Electrical, Proteus or Altium Designer.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding, simulation or engineering research.
