Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on IT Administrator / Web & E-Commerce Developer to manage our technology infrastructure while also supporting and developing our websites and e-commerce operations. This is an on-site position based at our Kearny, New Jersey location.

This position is approximately 50% IT administration and 50% web/e-commerce development. The ideal candidate will have experience with networking, Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Shopify, web development, system integrations, and modern AI tools.

Responsibilities

IT Administration & Infrastructure

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot UniFi switches, wireless access points, gateways, and firewalls.
• Manage wireless networks, firewall rules, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, and network security.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, file sharing, virtualization, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, networking, storage, and security.
• Administer Microsoft 365, users, permissions, licenses, and security.
• Deploy and support Dell laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and other devices.
• Manage endpoint protection, patching, cybersecurity, user access, and hardware inventory.
• Provide technical support to employees and troubleshoot business-critical systems.
• Monitor system and network performance and proactively resolve issues.

Web Development & E-Commerce

• Develop, maintain, and improve multiple company websites and Shopify e-commerce stores.
• Customize Shopify themes, product pages, collections, navigation, apps, and store functionality.
• Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Manage product catalogs, pricing, specifications, images, categories, and other e-commerce data.
• Integrate Shopify with ERP, inventory, CRM, accounting, and other business systems.
• Manage domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, hosting, redirects, and website security.
• Improve website speed, mobile usability, technical SEO, analytics, and conversion tracking.
• Troubleshoot website, checkout, application, product-feed, and integration issues.
• Support new website launches and ongoing e-commerce development.

AI & Automation

• Use AI-assisted development and coding tools to accelerate website development, troubleshooting, testing, and automation.
• Implement AI-powered tools and applications that improve e-commerce operations, product content, search, customer experience, and internal workflows.
• Use AI and automation to improve product-data management, integrations, reporting, and repetitive business processes.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications for the company.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant IT administration and/or web development experience.
• Strong knowledge of UniFi networking and network administration.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, virtual machines, Microsoft 365, backups, and cybersecurity.
• Experience deploying and supporting Windows/Dell computers and peripheral devices.
• Strong Shopify development and administration experience.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
• Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, and web technologies.
• Experience using modern AI coding/development and automation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Shopify with ERP, inventory, CRM, or accounting systems.
• Experience with technical SEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Tag Manager.
• Experience with cybersecurity, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery tools.
• Experience with Git/version control.
• Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Ubiquiti/UniFi, Shopify, or related certifications.

A self-starter who can independently manage both IT infrastructure and web/e-commerce projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable moving between network/server issues, employee support, Shopify development, system integrations, and AI/automation projects in a fast-paced business environment.
