The Role
The team..
The M&E Finance team operates at the core of our business partnering and performance tracking. We are an agile, data-driven, and highly analytical function responsible for providing clear insights to commercial leaders and senior executives. During periods of corporate transformation, our team acts as a critical anchor—ensuring seamless financial reporting accuracy, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment while navigating high-stakes business initiatives.
The role..
We’re looking for a Media & Entertainment Finance Separation Project Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. Reporting directly to the M&E Head of FP&A, you will play a key analytical role supporting the M&E division through a major corporate separation.
In this high-exposure position, you will ensure financial reporting accuracy and data integrity to satisfy intense scrutiny from external stakeholders and regulators. You will build and maintain recurring financial outputs, independently clean and translate complex data sets, and coordinate timebound requests under tight deadlines. It is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive, detail-focused analyst to gain high-level exposure to large-scale corporate transaction work.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Building, maintaining, and developing new recurring financial reporting outputs, independently applying accounting knowledge to data cleansing, translation, and categorisation.
- Coordinating and compiling rigorous, high-quality responses to timebound financial requests from regulators and external stakeholders.
- Critically reviewing outputs to guarantee total quality assurance and consistency with broader project deliverables and historical financial data.
- Supporting the integration and extraction of data using both financial and non-financial systems to address complex queries.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional operational and finance colleagues to ensure all external stakeholder requirements are fully met.
- Assisting with the wider requirements of the M&E and Studios separation aligned with our strategic priorities.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Part-Qualified, Finalist, Fully Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Essential hands-on experience using Oracle Fusion and EPBCS.
- Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas) specifically tailored for complex data analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with a methodical approach to data cleansing, standardisation, and quality control.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities under tight statutory deadlines.
- Naturally proactive and curious, with a drive to interrogate outputs and understand big-picture, end-to-end impacts and dependencies.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Desirable experience working through significant periods of organisational change, such as major system migrations.
- Experience operating within a formal project management framework.
- Familiarity with M&E business structures, ongoing transactions, and non-Fusion core systems (e.g., Telligence, Genersys).
- Practical experience with balance sheet or working capital analysis.
- A strong theoretical or practical understanding of group consolidations and financial reporting.
Potential Challenges
- Due tostrict statutory requirements on regulatory response times, this role may require working longer hours according to immediate business needs.
Please note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date. We’d encourage you to apply as soon as possible if interested.
