Job Description
Jimm's Steakhouse & Pub is seeking an experienced and organized Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and support the team in delivering excellent food quality and guest service. This role involves coordinating staff, monitoring kitchen and front-of-house operations, managing supplies, maintaining service standards, and helping ensure efficient restaurant performance. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and is comfortable working in a busy steakhouse and pub environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and guest-service activities.
- Coordinate staff assignments and workflow throughout each shift.
- Support and guide servers, hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and other team members.
- Monitor food quality, order accuracy, cleanliness, and customer-service standards.
- Assist with employee onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching.
- Respond to guest questions, feedback, and service concerns professionally.
- Help maintain efficient seating, order flow, and table turnover.
- Monitor food, beverage, and restaurant supply levels.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, organizing, and restocking supplies.
- Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures.
- Help coordinate staff schedules and communicate coverage needs.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining, bar, and kitchen areas.
- Support opening and closing procedures and daily operational checklists.
- Identify workflow issues and communicate improvement opportunities to management.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, steakhouse, pub, hospitality, or food-service experience.
- Previous supervisory, shift-lead, or restaurant management experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Good attention to food quality, cleanliness, and operational details.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory control, and restaurant procedures is helpful.
- Ability to train, support, and motivate team members.
- Professional and respectful approach to guests and coworkers.
