Position description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join Jindal Stainless Limited's SMS E & I department, specifically focusing on SMS1, DAG, Annealing Furnace, and PH operations. The role involves overseeing and optimizing electrical and instrumentation systems within our stainless steel manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mining and metals industry operations, with proven experience in managing complex industrial equipment and ensuring seamless integration of electrical and instrumentation controls. This position demands a proactive leader capable of driving continuous improvement, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the electrical and instrumentation activities for SMS1, DAG, Annealing Furnace, and PH units, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules for electrical and instrumentation systems to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing impact on production targets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies related to electrical and instrumentation operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system performance data and implementing innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement of electrical and instrumentation components, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including system designs, maintenance records, and compliance reports.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering skill development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams for the installation, commissioning, and validation of new electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Monitor and control budgets related to electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
