JMM is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our team in Century City. The Paralegal will assist attorney(s) by creating organizational and dissolution documents for corporations (including non-profit corporations), LLCs and partnerships, and related documents.
Essential Duties
- Draft governing documents such as bylaws and operating agreements.
- Assist with purchase and sale transactions.
- Draft stock, membership and partnership interest assignments.
- Retrieve, review and organize due diligence documents.
- Coordinate annual and miscellaneous regulatory and tax filings.
- Prepare gifting documents for estate planning clients.
- Create deeds and related property transfer documents.
- Conduct legal research.
- Keep current with Secretary of State revisions and inform Firm attorneys and paralegals of relevant changes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Corporate Paralegal at a law firm or equivalent.
- Four-year college degree or equivalent.
- ABA approved paralegal certificate.
Position: Non-Exempt Location: Century City. 5 days onsite for the first 30 days; then 4 days per week onsite, 1 day remote thereafter. Salary: $95k - $110k base
