The position is suitable for candidates looking to build their careers in business operations and management. Initial training and ongoing guidance will be provided, with opportunities to take on greater responsibilities as your experience develops.

About the Company

We are a management consulting business based in Glasgow, supporting organisations with business planning, operational improvement and management-related projects.

Our work involves understanding business requirements, coordinating project activities and supporting the implementation of practical solutions. The team works across different functions to help maintain efficient operations, manage client projects and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of business operations and internal processes.
  • Assist with coordinating consulting projects, schedules and operational activities.
  • Monitor project tasks and follow up on outstanding actions to support timely delivery.

  • Support the organisation of meetings, schedules and internal activities.
  • Assist with monitoring operational performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate information between teams to support effective communication.
  • Help address routine operational issues and refer more complex matters to senior management.
  • Gradually take on greater responsibility for project coordination and team activities.

Candidate Requirements

We're interested in applicants who:

  • Are organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Have an interest in business operations and management consulting.
  • Can coordinate tasks and follow up on work effectively.
  • Have good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Are comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues.
  • Can work independently while contributing to a wider team.
  • Show initiative, reliability and a willingness to learn.
  • Are open to feedback and developing their management capabilities.

A qualification in business management, operations, consulting or a related subject would be beneficial but is not essential. Previous experience in administration, project coordination, customer service or an operational role would be an advantage.

As you become more familiar with the role, you'll have opportunities to develop skills in operational planning, project monitoring, resource coordination and problem-solving.

With consistent performance and demonstrated capability, there may be opportunities to take on broader management responsibilities and progress within the business.
