The Opportunity
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Fabrication shop in Jarrow on a permanent basis. You’ll oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Manufacturing and across the supply chain, along with the compilation of lifetime quality records for delivery to the customer.
How you will make an impact
· Monitoring Quality Control in Manufacturing and in Supply Chain (End to End processes)
· Quality Assurance/Surveillance of adherence to Specifications & Procedures
· Establish, maintain, review, improve processes and Records templates to ensure they are fit for purpose and efficient to implement
· Compilation of LTQR records for delivery to the customer
· Review and approval of LTQR records for delivery to the customer
· Ensures delivery in accordance with Client specifications and KAEFER quality management system
· Ensures we have all the correct procedures in place to deliver the works
· Superuser for Client document control system
· Liaise with Client(s) QA/QC/Document Control representatives, attend meetings, and report performance either directly or through operations
· Identify, investigate and remedy non-conformances
· Lead on continuous improvement activities to further the performance of the organisation
· Visit suppliers and monitor supplier performance
· Work closely with colleagues to deliver the overall objectives of the organisation
What you will bring
· Experienced Quality Engineer in a highly regulated industry
· Experienced in Manufacturing, Fabrication and Welding (essential)
· Qualifications in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control (either in date or recently lapsed)
