An automotive cold-caller and sales representative drives B2B or retail sales by finding new customers over the phone, pitching vehicle parts or stock, and managing client accounts.
Job Overview
- Primary Focus: Outbound cold calling, lead generation, account conversion, and relationship management
- Target Audience: Workshop owners, fitment centres, spare parts retailers, commercial fleet managers, or retail car buyers
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Cold Calling: Make high-volume daily calls using directories, lead databases, and market research to pitch automotive products or commercial supply agreements.
- Lead Qualification & Pitching: Introduce vehicle models, aftermarket spare parts, warranties, and special promotions to prospective buyers.
- Objection Handling & Closing: Address customer pushback on pricing or stock availability, negotiate terms, and convert leads into active orders.
- Client Visits: Travel locally to meet key workshop owners or fleet decision-makers, review stock requirements, and strengthen trade accounts.
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Log all calls, customer interactions, follow-ups, quotes, and sales orders in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or dealership management software.
- Order Fulfilment Coordination: Work closely with internal dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts.
- Re-engaging Accounts: Contact dormant, quiet, or inactive trade clients to revive business relationships.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 3+ years of proven B2B sales, telemarketing, or outbound cold-calling experience (ideally in the automotive aftermarket, spare parts, or motor trade sector).
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
Pay: R5 500,00 - R15 000,00 per month
