KayCee Engineers is an established architectural consultancy and construction company with a legacy dating back to 1973. We specialise in architectural design, residential construction, interior design, project management and turnkey construction projects across Kerala.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Civil Engineering Interns who are interested in gaining practical industry experience in residential construction, site supervision, project execution and quantity surveying.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Assist site engineers in supervising daily construction activities.
- Monitor construction work and ensure execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, workers and suppliers.
- Monitor quality of materials and workmanship.
- Maintain daily site progress reports with photographs.
- Assist in identifying and reporting site issues.
2. Quantity Surveying & Estimation
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and material calculations.
- Learn to prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Assist in material requirement calculations and cost estimation.
- Verify measurements and quantities at construction sites.
- Assist in preparing project billing statements.
3. Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Understand architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Assist in checking drawings and identifying site discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the design and drafting team.
- Learn basic AutoCAD drawing interpretation and modifications.
4. Project Management & Documentation
- Assist in monitoring project schedules and timelines.
- Maintain daily work progress records.
- Prepare material consumption and site requirement reports.
- Assist in coordinating material procurement.
- Support the project manager in daily project operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of construction methods and building materials.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn and work at construction sites.
- Responsible, punctual and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
