Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and service-oriented Shift Manager to oversee daily operations at Shopwise Cubao. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient shift operations, maintaining excellent customer service, monitoring inventory and sales, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient business activities.
- Supervise, guide, and support staff to maintain productivity and deliver excellent customer service.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, work schedules, and task assignments to ensure adequate shift coverage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, workplace safety guidelines, and service quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate the replenishment of products and supplies.
- Oversee cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, sales monitoring, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
- Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work area throughout the shift.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Monitor daily sales performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct shift briefings and proper handovers to ensure continuity of operations.
- Prepare and maintain daily sales reports, inventory records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Assist in training and developing staff to improve performance and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Report operational concerns, equipment issues, and other incidents to the appropriate management personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail, food and beverage, convenience store, or service station operations is preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control, cash handling, sales monitoring, and operational reporting.
- Ability to manage staff and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work on shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.
