Description / Synopsis
An established international agriculture business is seeking a high-calibre Accountant to join its Johannesburg-based finance team. Join a growing international business offering exposure to group finance, cross-border operations and long-term progression [URL Removed] closely with senior finance leadership, the incumbent will play a meaningful role in supporting both South African and East African operations while building the technical and commercial skills required for future advancement. Minimum Requirements:

BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
-
Completed articles advantageous
-
3 - 5 years accounting experience

Strong financial reporting and month-end exposure
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
-
Sage Evolution experience advantageous
-
Exposure to manufacturing, stock or cost accounting advantageous
-
Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a deadline-driven environment
Responsibilities
-
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
-
Preparation and review of journals, accruals and reconciliations
-
Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
-
Assist with group reporting requirements and multi-entity finance activities
-
Support accounting and reporting requirements across international operations
-
Assist with inventory, stock and manufacturing accounting processes
-
Work closely with the Financial Controller on operational and commercial finance matters
-
Support audit processes and internal control requirements
-
Contribute to ongoing process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
