About the Role

KOKA Software Technology Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced, highly responsible and result-oriented Head of Business Operations & Strategy to manage and drive the overall business operations of the company.

This is a senior leadership position for a candidate with minimum 10 years of experience who can independently manage people, business operations, revenue, sales, HR, recruitment, marketing coordination, product strategy and business growth.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and will be responsible for converting the company's business objectives into measurable execution plans.

The candidate must be comfortable travelling for customer meetings, business development, market research, strategic meetings and company requirements.

Core Responsibility

The person will be responsible for:

People → Sales → Revenue → HR → Recruitment → Marketing → Product Strategy → Business Strategy → Operations → Performance

The goal is to ensure that the entire organisation operates with clear targets, accountability and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities1. Overall Business Operations

  • Manage day-to-day business operations across departments.
  • Ensure all departments are working according to company objectives.
  • Establish processes, accountability and reporting systems.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks.
  • Solve interdepartmental issues.
  • Monitor overall company performance.
  • Ensure management decisions are properly implemented.
  • Create SOPs and operational processes where required.
  • Report important business issues and opportunities directly to the MD.

2. People & Team Management

Manage and coordinate teams across:

  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • HR
  • Recruitment
  • Development
  • Project Management
  • Customer Support
  • Product
  • Administration

Responsibilities include:

  • Set team objectives.
  • Define KPIs.
  • Review individual and department performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Improve employee productivity.
  • Resolve team conflicts.
  • Identify leadership gaps.
  • Improve employee accountability.
  • Build a high-performance work culture.
  • Support recruitment of key positions.
  • Develop team structures as the company grows.

3. Revenue & Sales Management

Work closely with the Sales & Revenue Manager to ensure achievement of company targets.

Monitor:

  • Monthly revenue

  • Quotations
  • Negotiations
  • Closures
  • Collections
  • Customer renewals
  • Upselling
  • Cross-selling

Review sales performance regularly and identify corrective actions.

The candidate should be capable of understanding:

4. HR & Recruitment Management

Take overall responsibility for HR operations and recruitment strategy.

  • Plan manpower requirements.
  • Approve recruitment priorities with management.
  • Monitor recruitment performance.
  • Review critical hires.
  • Improve recruitment processes.
  • Monitor employee attendance and discipline.
  • Support performance management.
  • Review employee KPIs.
  • Handle employee escalations.
  • Improve employee retention.
  • Coordinate with HR for company policies and processes.
  • Build a strong organisational structure.

5. Business Strategy

Work with the MD to develop and execute business strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Annual business planning.

  • Market expansion strategy.
  • Customer acquisition strategy.
  • Product positioning.
  • Industry targeting.
  • Geographic expansion.
  • Partnership strategy.
  • Pricing strategy.

6. Product Strategy

Work closely with the Product and Development teams to improve KOKA's products.

Research and analyse:

  • Customer requirements

Help define product priorities for:

  • KOKA ERP
  • KOKA CRM
  • KOKA HRMS
  • KOKA Books

7. Competitor Analysis

Continuously monitor competing SaaS and ERP products.

Analyse:

  • Strengths and weaknesses

Prepare strategic recommendations for management.

8. Marketing Management

The candidate will oversee the Marketing & Business Growth team and coordinate activities including:

  • SEO
  • Google Business Profile
  • WhatsApp marketing
  • Email marketing
  • LinkedIn marketing
  • Content marketing
  • Industry research
  • Lead generation
  • Competitor research

Review marketing performance based on:

Marketing Activity → Qualified Leads → Demos → Sales → Revenue

Marketing should be measured by business results rather than activity volume alone.

9. Financial & Commercial Awareness

The candidate should have a strong understanding of business numbers.

Work with Accounts/Finance to identify financial risks and opportunities.

  • Understand customer satisfaction and retention issues.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Travel when required for important customers and business opportunities.

Compensation

₹75,000 – ₹1,50,000 per month, depending on experience, leadership capability and proven business results.

Performance-based incentives can be structured around revenue growth, operational improvement, team performance and business targets.

Important Hiring Note

This is not a traditional HR Manager, Sales Manager or Operations Manager position.

KOKA is looking for a business leader who can take ownership of the company's day-to-day execution across multiple functions and work as the MD's key operational partner.

The ideal candidate should be able to:

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
