About the Role
L&T Construction is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer for a major RTA Roads and Infrastructure Project in Dubai, UAE. The candidate will be responsible for the execution and technical coordination of bridges, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, foundations, and other reinforced-concrete structures in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil and structural works, including foundations, bridges, piers, abutments, decks, underpasses, culverts, and retaining walls.
- Execute piling, pile caps, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, post-tensioning, waterproofing, and precast erection works.
- Review structural drawings, shop drawings, bar-bending schedules, method statements, and technical specifications.
- Plan daily activities and arrange the required manpower, materials, equipment, and work fronts.
- Coordinate with consultants, designers, surveyors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines.
- Ensure structural works comply with approved drawings, inspection requirements, and construction schedules.
- Raise inspection requests and coordinate with QA/QC teams and consultants for work approvals.
- Perform pre-pour inspections covering line, level, dimensions, reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, and concrete readiness.
- Monitor progress, productivity, material usage, quality, and safety performance.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, site constraints, and technical issues and coordinate their timely resolution.
- Ensure safe execution of lifting, scaffolding, formwork, temporary works, and work-at-height activities.
- Maintain daily progress records, site reports, inspection documents, and as-built information.
- Support testing, snag rectification, documentation, and final handover of completed structures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Relevant experience in civil and structural works for roads, highways, bridges, or major infrastructure projects.
- UAE/GCC experience, preferably on RTA roads or infrastructure projects in Dubai.
- Practical knowledge of reinforced-concrete construction, foundations, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, and precast works.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings, bar-bending schedules, specifications, and construction sequences.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, and construction safety standards.
- Good planning, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of structural or project-management software will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience
Candidates with proven experience in RTA bridges, flyovers, underpasses, interchanges, retaining walls, culverts, foundations, and other highway structures in Dubai/UAE will be preferred.
