Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Data Services Director, this position is responsible for the coordination of data systems in use by the school district. This position is responsible for training and supporting the Skyward Business Suite of applications used by the district's Financial Services, Human Resources and Payroll teams. The Data Services Coordinator will function as the liaison between system users and District Data Services by coordinating system-related activities and services. Aside from providing technical support and training to staff, the Data Services Coordinator has the primary responsibility of resolving all information system related issues preventing mission critical processes from completing. Additionally, this position is responsible for analyzing current business processes and finding opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and accuracy of business systems. Initial assignment will focus on Payroll Support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reviews, evaluates, tests and communicates future software features and functionality to identify areas of opportunity for increased efficiency and data accuracy.

Analyzes current business practices and finds opportunities to explore more efficient ways to utilize existing functionality of the software.

Anticipates, communicates and addresses software issues to mitigate impacts to the organization.

Advises Leadership on strategies to address issues, requests and questions related to the technical implementation of district policies and procedure.

Gathers requirements and researches requested functionalities for new project implementations including: setting up and testing scenarios in a training environment, outlining implementation and test plan, creating training documents, implementing new functionality in production, training end users, and refining plans based on user feedback.

Manages onboarding and offboarding user permissions, access and security to different areas of the software.

Responds to telephone or email inquiries regarding problems associated with area of assigned responsibility.

Maintains a working relationship between District Data Services and end-users including troubleshooting problems and reporting hardware/software problems within the assigned area of responsibility.

Prepares written and video documentation as necessary to provide end-users with instructions on how to use the data system in the assigned areas.

Assists departments with the development of applicable system-related policies and procedures.

Monitors data/information for accuracy and validity and coordinates with end-users to resolve incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate data.

Develops and helps design reports for monitoring data and end-user support.

Performs routine system maintenance in designated areas.

Represents the district at state regional committee meetings and training sessions as assigned.

Research, clarify, interpret, and implement federal, state and district policies, procedures and reporting rules and requirements.

Train and guide end user data entry, awareness and compliance of local, state and federal reporting rules and requirements as it relates to the use of the Finance and HR software, per our software vendor recommendations.

Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of responsible data experience in a technical capacity.

Four years of related experience may be substituted.

Instructional or training experience preferred.

Microsoft Office experience in an educational environment working with technical and non-technical staff involving resolution of technical problems and developing enhancements is preferred. APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
