Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional guest service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of hotel management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests. Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with diverse clientele. The Duty Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily functioning of the hotel, ensuring all departments operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and support team members, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of service.
  • Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure the property is well-maintained and guest needs are met promptly.
  • Assist in managing reservations, check-ins, and check-outs to optimise guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor safety procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the premises.
  • Support human resources functions including staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all operational procedures adhere to company policies and standards.
  • Promote a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
  • Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is highly advantageous for effective communication with international guests.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to staff management and development.
  • Experience in hotel operations or hospitality management is preferred.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
