About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to help us solve the complex, technical challenges of a changing insurance landscape. The ideal candidate loves to build, communicates well with team members , and is motivated by a less bureaucracy. This person will be a key member of our engineering team, with direct ownership of many parts of the stack.
What you’ll do

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop new features and enhance existing applications.

Design and implement frontend and backend components using Python and JavaScript (Node.js)

Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services as needed.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

Implement automated tests and ensure high code quality through code reviews and continuous integration.

Optimize application performance and scalability to handle growing user demands.

Dive into using and building LLMs (Large Language Models) to enhance our underwriters' productivity.

Debug production issues using the latest tooling.

Help set the direction of the small but growing engineering team.
Requirements
Must haves
-
3+ years of professional backend or full stack software development experience.

Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs using Python.

Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, with the ability to develop frontend components.

Proven ability to write code for the future, with a strong focus on maintainability and testability

Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, and efficient engineering solutions.

Strong ability to design data models based on business domain use cases, including experience with relational databases.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
Nice to Haves

Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Experience solving insurance industry or domain-related challenges.

Experience with frontend development in React.

Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Compensation

Base Salary Range: Employment Contract (UoP): 18,350 - 27,500 gross per month or B2B: 22,000–33,000 PLN net per month. This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of relevant factors including experience, qualifications, geographic location and other relevant factors.
