LPT Healthcare is looking for experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons to join its growing medico-legal network. This flexible opportunity is suitable for consultants seeking additional work alongside existing clinical commitments.
The Role
You will provide independent orthopaedic assessments and expert opinions for legal cases. Responsibilities may include:
Assessing orthopaedic injuries and conditions.
Reviewing medical records, imaging, and supporting evidence.
Providing opinions on diagnosis, causation, prognosis, and treatment.
Preparing clear, evidence-based medico-legal reports.
Maintaining professional independence and confidentiality.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
Specialist registration in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery.
Consultant-level orthopaedic experience.
Appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
Strong clinical, analytical, and report-writing skills.
ICO registration where applicable.
Previous medico-legal experience is desirable but not essential.
Flexible Working
Choose assignments that fit around your existing commitments, with remote, face-to-face, or hybrid assessments available. There is no fixed minimum caseload.
LPT Healthcare provides administrative support, appointment coordination, case management, and report submission assistance.
Pay: £100.00 per hour
