Making preventive health the default for every human in Europe

The mission

At Lucis, we believe healthcare should be preventive, not reactive. We’re building the operating system for human longevity to help people add more healthy years to their lives.

The role

Lucis analyses more than 110 biomarkers, builds personalised clinical protocols, and delivers them through an AI-powered preventive health product.

As Medical Excellence, you are the senior medical expert next to product and Medical ops. You bring deep clinical expertise into protocols, ranges, evidence, and what we can say next to a marker. You also cover medical content: biomarker copy, protocols, and marketing clinical sign-off.

You work with the product lead, Medical ops, medical reviewers, and AI. You do not own product decisions, and you do not own labs, partners, or turnaround — Medical ops does.

This is not a traditional bedside role. It is not an ops role. It is not a copywriting role. You have practiced medicine in depth, and you can turn clinical judgment into clear protocols, ranges, and member-facing language.

What you own

Protocols & clinical standards

  • Protocol logic, decision trees, clinical rules

  • Biomarker thresholds and expert ranges

  • Translate medical reasoning into structures the product and Medical ops can run

  • Keep protocols aligned with current evidence

  • Support new biomarkers, health systems, and preventive programmes from the clinical side

Evidence & clinical judgment

  • Evidence bar: what we should test, drop, or claim

  • Brief product and the team without a 40-page memo

  • Clinical review of edge cases and sensitive outputs

  • Review of AI-generated medical outputs for clinical accuracy and safety

Medical content

  • Biomarker explanations, protocol rationales, in-product clinical language

  • Coach / member-facing clinical copy

  • Marketing clinical sign-off

  • French and English at publication quality

  • Keep member-facing clinical language trustworthy

Medical quality and governance

  • Clinical review and sign-off processes (clinical side: what must be medically signed off, and to what standard)

  • Quality-control systems, documentation standards, audit trails — in partnership with Medical ops

  • Escalation and medical risk-management processes — clinical criteria and judgment

  • Clinical performance indicators — definition of medical quality bars, with Medical ops on measurement and ops

About you

You are a doctor with substantial clinical practice. You care that what members read and what protocols encode is medically sound. You are comfortable working with product and AI without needing to run either. You write like a clinician people would trust.

You’ll fit in well if

  • You hold an MD (preferred) with deep clinical practice — more experience than a junior reviewer

  • Prevention, internal medicine, nutrition, functional, cardiology, public health, or a related field is a plus

  • You have strong clinical judgement, case by case and when defining standards

  • You can set protocol logic, ranges, and an evidence bar other people can execute

  • You write clearly in French and English at publication quality

  • You work well with product, Medical ops, AI, and reviewers — without owning their roadmaps

  • You balance medical rigour with pragmatism

  • You take ownership beyond a narrow specialty lane

We might not be a fit if

  • You want to focus primarily on traditional bedside practice

  • You want to run labs, partners, turnaround, or ops queues (that’s Medical ops)

  • You want to own the product roadmap

  • You prefer pure research or citation work without shipping clinical standards

  • You are a copywriter without real clinical practice

  • You need every process already defined before you contribute

  • You prioritise predictable nine-to-five work over mission intensity

Practical details

  • Format: Full-time preferred. Flexible for the right senior profile.

  • Location: Paris mostly / Europe

  • Languages: French and English required. Additional language a plus.

  • Relocation support possible. Europe-based candidates welcome if willing to travel regularly to Paris.

The process

  1. Introductory call (20 minutes)

  2. Technical interview (30–60 minutes) — clinical judgement, protocol/evidence thinking, writing sample or case

  3. At-home case study (within two days)

  4. Deep dive and team conversations in Paris

  5. Reference calls
