Line Operations Supervisor
The Aviation Line Operations Supervisor performs a variety of duties including but not limited to, oversight and direction of all line responsibilities, meeting and marshalling of aircraft, servicing of aircraft and crew with needed supplies, communication, interaction and assisting customers. General upkeep of the line services area, lobby, hangar, and ramp. Ability to work outdoors even in inclement weather. Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays. Frequent lifting of up to 50lbs, walking and standing. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass background check and drug test. This position requires the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervision and coordination of daily activities of line service, with the primary focus on safety practices and policies
- Hire and develop line personnel
- Consider schedules for Line Service Technicians based on ability and service demand
- Oversight of standard training manual for line crew
- Assist to train line crew members for both line services and safety
- Respond to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew (fuel, lavatory, water, oil, catering, baggage assistance, and any special requests, etc.).
- Greet, park, tow, and marshal aircraft arriving or departing ramp area
- Towing of aircraft in and out of hangar or upper and lower ramps
- Escorting passengers and/or crew members
- Reloading of fuel vehicles
- Work with FAA/ Fire Department for all monthly / quarterly inspections
- Work to update closing and opening procedures list for line crew including maintenance of ramp follow up for completion
- Oversight of fuel testing
Requirements / Expectations and goals:
- Previous management and line services experience.
- Travel- for additional training and maintain 139 training certifications
- Gain certification to train ramp side drivers
- Be a leader in Safety and Customer service
