Machine Operator

Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) is one of the world’s leading metal additive manufacturing enterprises. BLT Europe GmbH, the Group’s European subsidiary, is undergoing large‑scale expansion. Its brand‑new Munich plant is scheduled to go into operation in 2026, integrating a complete production line, product exhibition hall and training centre. To support pre‑production preparations, we are seeking experienced machine operators to join our team.Job OverviewWe are looking for practically‑skilled machine operators with a strong safety mindset. The role centres on operating 3D‑printing equipment, maintaining a tidy production area, and collaborating with service engineers for timely troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions. You must work safely in full compliance with regulations, meet production schedules and deliver qualified metal‑printed components. Strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as environment, health and safety (EHS) rules is mandatory.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the full pre‑print workflow competently: equipment startup and inspection, powder‑bed system calibration, inspection and purging of argon/nitrogen shielding‑gas circuits, substrate mounting and levelling, and import & verification of print parameters.
  • Monitor print runs in real time: observe melt‑pool conditions, keep track of chamber oxygen levels, respond promptly to equipment error alerts, and carry out routine basic equipment maintenance.
  • Unload finished parts and clean residual powder; load and unload work‑pieces for wire‑EDM; perform blasting operations; load and unload components in stress‑relief furnaces; rough‑grind support structures; sort work‑pieces and apply identification labels.
  • Powder management: store different alloy powders in segregated zones to prevent cross‑contamination; document all powder batches and control storage‑environment conditions; sieve recycled powder and monitor its reuse cycles; comply with anti‑static, explosion‑protection and dust‑control safety regulations; dispose of scrapped powders in accordance with hazardous‑waste procedures.
  • Fully implement corporate and department‑level EHS management systems and operating norms. Abide by the safety principle: do no harm to yourself, do no harm to others, do not allow yourself to be harmed. Report safety hazards immediately upon detection. When new technologies, materials or processes are introduced, identify associated new safety risks, conduct risk assessments and define corresponding preventive and control measures.

Requirements

  • Possesses a valid legal work status or visa for Germany
  • Technical secondary‑school (Berufsfachschule) qualification or above; majors in mechanics, materials science or welding are preferred.
  • Strong practical hands‑on skills; ability to read basic mechanical drawings; basic computer literacy.
  • A highly developed safety awareness is a hard requirement for this position. Metal powders carry dust‑exposure and explosion risks. You must complete mandatory safety training and consistently follow standard operating procedures.
  • Desirable criteria (not mandatory): prior experience in post‑processing processes including wire‑EDM part removal, furnace operation and stress‑relief annealing. Pre‑employment training will be provided; candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply.
  • Preferred background: working experience as a CNC‑machine operator, with wire‑EDM, welding, heat‑treatment, powder‑metallurgy or injection‑moulding‑machine operation; prior experience in shop‑floor equipment maintenance and shift‑work production is an advantage.

Benefits

  • In‑depth training covering the operating principles of BLT’s complete metal 3D‑printing equipment portfolio.
  • Structured professional training delivered by technical experts from the Group headquarters.
  • International collaborative working environment with close interaction with the global headquarters
