Our Regulatory Data team is focused on improving the quality, integrity, and governance of data across Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services business. Working closely with business, data, and technology teams, we deliver innovative and scalable data quality solutions that support regulatory obligations, strengthen decision-making, and drive better business outcomes.

What role will you play?

As a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening and enhancing data quality across Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services business. Working closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and engineers, you will translate business requirements into effective data quality rules and controls, ensuring critical data is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose. You will partner with stakeholders to assess the impact and feasibility of data quality enhancements, support the prioritisation and delivery of improvements, and help identify and resolve complex data issues through detailed root cause analysis. You will also contribute to testing and validation activities, ensuring new and updated data quality controls, monitoring solutions, and reporting tools are successfully implemented before release. In addition, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging automation and advanced AI-enabled tools to monitor data quality at scale, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency. You will maintain clear documentation of data quality rules, data lineage, and business requirements, supporting strong data governance practices and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

What you offer

  • 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, Data Governance Specialist, or in a similar role within a complex financial services or regulatory reporting environment
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, with exposure to tools such as Python, Control-M, and Alteryx considered advantageous
  • A solid understanding of data governance practices, including data quality management, metadata management, critical data elements, and data governance platforms such as Collibra
  • Experience working within agile delivery environments, including managing and prioritising work backlogs and supporting continuous process improvement
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, solve complex problems, and adapt to changing business and regulatory priorities
  • Demonstrates an AI-enabled mindset, leveraging technology and automation to drive efficiency, innovation, and business outcomes.
