Join the Office of the CIO and help shape the investment strategy for Macquarie’s Private Bank portfolios, which have $60bn under management. You will work within our Investment Strategy team to support manager research, diligence and recommendations across hedge funds, private equity, and other areas of Alternative investments. What role will you play?
In this role, you will support the Head of Alternatives develop the suite of Alternative products and strategies we make available to our Private Bank. You will conduct diligence on new strategies, monitor performance of existing exposures, and support the ongoing evolution of our portfolio of best ideas.
You will conduct deep-dive investment research into asset classes, strategies, and managers, your analysis will directly shape our investment menu and client portfolios. You will collaborate with the team to improve our processes, our insights, and how we deliver those to our Private Bankers and clients.
What you offer
- 3-5 years of prior experience in an analytical role, with experience in investment markets or manager assessment and selection preferred.
- A tertiary qualification in finance, investments, statistics or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to think through investment strategies from first principles and cut through marketing and sales messages to get to the heart of an investments’ likelihood of success.
- High attention to detail and ability to produce well-structured written material.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with the adaptability and resilience to adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to question and improve processes and drive efficiency in output.
- Strong data analysis skills; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Python or portfolio analytics tools would be highly regarded.
