Our Remediation Data Analytics team helps to deliver remediation programs and control reporting across Banking and Financial Services. Partnering closely with Product and other Data teams, we perform the analysis and calculations behind accurate customer compensation for errors and incorrect charges, while designing and implementing exception and monitoring reports that detect and prevent recurrence.
We are open to considering candidates on either a permanent or contract basis.
We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.
What role will you play?
You will work on a diverse range of remediation initiatives, each presenting its own unique challenges, customer scenarios, edge cases, and datasets to analyse. Working across multiple Banking and Financial Services product areas, you will combine commercial judgement with technical rigour to deliver positive customer outcomes. You will identify impacted customer populations, calculate compensation, and prepare accurate, well-documented remediation outputs. In addition, you will develop control reporting that provides ongoing visibility of risks and issues, while partnering with stakeholders across different product areas and seniority levels to understand product mechanics and translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear and actionable solutions. Leveraging SQL, Python, and AI tools where appropriate, you will explore data, automate analysis, and drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of remediation processes.
What you offer
- Proven experience in data or analytics
- Well-versed in SQL and Python, with the ability to work confidently and efficiently across large, complex datasets
- Active user of AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate analysis and day-to-day work
- Demonstrate a curious and detail-oriented mindset, with a strong desire to investigate anomalies, uncover root causes, and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
- Willingness to learn about different financial products and combine analytical output with commercial thinking to reach practical outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work through ambiguity, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across teams
- Experience in financial services or remediations is a plus but not essential.
We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
