You'll work directly with senior government executives to understand strategic priorities, shape transformation agendas and position Macquarie as a long-term technology partner across cloud, cyber security, networking, data centre and managed services.

You'll lead complex, multi-year opportunities from strategy and discovery through to solution development, negotiation and delivery — bringing together executive stakeholders, technical teams and commercial partners to deliver meaningful customer outcomes.

Why Us?

  • A dynamic and supportive team that values smart thinking.

  • A workplace where your business insights are celebrated.

What you'll do

  • Own and grow a strategic Tier 1 Government account, building relationships across executive, technology, commercial and procurement stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute multi-year account and transformation strategies aligned to customer priorities.
  • Identify, shape and lead complex, high-value transformation opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and senior government executives.
  • Lead major sales engagements, tenders, proposals, business cases and commercial negotiations.
  • Mobilise internal technical, commercial and delivery teams around customer outcomes.
  • Build strategic pipeline, identify growth opportunities and drive long-term account value.
  • Navigate complex government procurement, governance and stakeholder environments.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience selling into Tier 1 Federal Government or large enterprise environments.
  • A strong track record in complex strategic transformation and multi-year technology programs.
  • Executive-level relationship and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and senior government leaders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering against ambitious sales targets.
  • Experience across cloud, cyber security, networking, telecommunications, data centre or managed services.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement, tenders and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to connect business strategy, technology transformation and commercial outcomes.
  • An Australian Government security clearance, or previous experience holding one.

This is an opportunity to shape major technology transformation within one of Australia's most significant government organisations — working at executive level, influencing strategy and building a partnership that extends well beyond a traditional technology sale.

If you're energised by complex environments, strategic transformation and high-impact customer relationships this role is for you.

If this excites you, apply now, we'd love to hear from you!
