Location: Remote within Canada

Join the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce (CQCC) in championing the economic empowerment of 2SLGBTQI+ businesses across Canada.

Established in 2003, the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce is a trusted partner linking 2SLGBTQI+ businesses in Canada to the wider business community. CQCC fosters economic growth by supporting 2SLGBTQI+ businesses, entrepreneurs, students and allies, and by helping Canada's corporate sector connect with the 2SLGBTQI+ business community. A leader in inclusive procurement, CQCC is also Canada's certifying body for 2SLGBTQI+ businesses.

The Opportunity

CQCC is seeking an engaging and thoughtful Program Manager to lead the national Mentorship and Newcomer programs and support on the development and implementation of the new Business Advisor Program for 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs and members. This is an opportunity to shape a growing area of programming from the ground up and create a welcoming, practical and meaningful experience for participants across Canada.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Programs , the Program Manager will bring structure to the programs, coordinate partners and resources, support participants with empathy and sound judgment, and ensure commitments are delivered on time and with care. The successful candidate will be both a strong project manager and a trusted relationship builder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, launch and manage CQCC's national Mentorship and Newcomer programs, ensuring they are welcoming, relevant and responsive to participant needs.
  • Work closely with Program Development team and a consultant to develop and lead the new Business Advisor Program
  • Manage the full program lifecycle, including goals, workplans, timelines, budgets, risks, resources, deliverables and regular progress reporting.
  • Recruit, onboard and engage mentors, mentees, newcomers and other participants, including coordinating thoughtful matches, introductions and ongoing check-ins.
  • Provide timely, empathetic and practical support to participants, helping them navigate program requirements and connect with relevant CQCC resources, services and opportunities.
  • Act as a business advisor to participants by understanding their business needs, offering practical guidance and connecting them with relevant experts, resources, networks and opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver workshops, webinars, networking sessions, learning resources and other activities that support professional growth, belonging and meaningful connections.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, community organizations, newcomer-serving agencies, facilitators, speakers and other program partners.
  • Collaborate with Growth and Engagement, Marketing and Communications, regional colleagues and other CQCC teams to promote the programs and coordinate a consistent participant experience.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and program records, monitor participation and engagement, gather feedback, evaluate outcomes, and implement improvements based on evidence and participant input.

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in business, project management, community development, social sciences, adult learning or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in program management, project management, member services, community programming or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing or launching a new program and managing it from planning through delivery, evaluation and improvement.
  • Experience supporting participants through mentorship, newcomer, professional-development, entrepreneurship or community-based programming is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a welcoming, thoughtful and culturally responsive approach to participant support.
  • Professional fluency in English and French, with the ability to communicate with participants and deliver program activities in both languages, is required.
  • Strong organizational, project-management and digital skills, including experience with CRM, collaboration and program-management tools. Experience in a not-for-profit organization or working with 2SLGBTQI+ and newcomer communities is an asset.

Terms

This is a full-time, remote position leading national, bilingual programming and supporting participants and partners across Canada. Occasional travel and some evening or weekend work may be required for workshops, networking sessions and program events.

Compensation

Salary will be based on skills and experience, within the annual salary range of $75,000-$80,000. Additional benefits include group benefit plan coverage, annual vacation, and a generous public holiday schedule, including paid time off between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
