Trade Tested Boilermaker – Temporary Assignment |Bellville, Cape Town Are you a skilled and experienced Trade Tested Boilermaker looking for an immediate temporary opportunity in Cape Town? A well-established company is seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Boilermaker to join their team on a temporary assignment. The successful candidate will have strong fabrication, welding and metalwork experience, be able to read technical drawings, and work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble and install metal structures and components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Perform maintenance, repairs and modifications on equipment and structures
- Conduct inspection and fault-finding on components and machinery
- Ensure all work is completed according to quality and safety standards
- Operate relevant tools, machinery and equipment safely
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers and maintenance teams
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Adhere to all company, health, safety and environmental regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker) essential
- Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience in a manufacturing, engineering, construction, mining or industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proficient in fabrication, welding and steelwork
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding environments
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Own transport will be advantageous
- Must be immediately available for a temporary assignment
