About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function of a growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full bookkeeping function, supporting month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and overseeing key tax, payroll and cash flow processes.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working independently.
- Process invoices and manage monthly accounts
- Manage bank accounts and payment loading
- Perform bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations
- Process accruals, prepayments and month-end journals
- Manage payroll, VAT, PAYE and credit control
- Prepare and submit SARS returns and payments
- Manage partner commission calculations and payments
- Process staff expense claims and reimbursements
- Monitor and manage cash flow and forecasting
- Assist with budget preparation and budget vs actual reporting
- Prepare management accounts and other financial reports
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
- Take full ownership of the month-end close process
- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete and up to date
Minimum Requirements

BCom in Accounting
-
SAIPA or SAICA articles completed

Minimum 6 years' experience in a bookkeeping role

Proficiency in Sage Pastel

Proven ability to manage the month-end close independently

Solid working knowledge of:

SARS submissions

VAT

Payroll processes

Bank and ledger reconciliations

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Must be able to work in-office in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal
