Mechanical Design Engineer – Robotics & Automation
Experience: 2–4 Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in Robotics and Industrial Automation. The candidate should have strong expertise in designing robotic grippers jaws, End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT), fixtures, robotic workstations, and fabrication structures. The role requires hands-on experience in mechanical design, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic grippers, jaws, EOATs, fixtures, and robotic automation based on project requirements.
- Create 3D models, assembly models, and detailed manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.
- Design fabrication structures,safety guarding, and automation equipment.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T principles in design.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of robotic automation systems and mechanical design concepts.
- Experience in designing robot grippers, EOATs, fixtures, robot stations, and robotic cells.
- Good understanding of engineering drawing standards and GD&T.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Familiarity with standard mechanical components including linear guides, pneumatic systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Ability to perform design calculations and basic structural assessments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Software Skills:
- Creo Parametric
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Industrial Automation, Robotics, Fixtures design.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design, Robotics, Industrial Automation, EOAT Design, Fixture Design.
