We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Delivery Leader to join our Federal Health Practice leadership team supporting a variety of Federal Health opportunities.

This role requires a dynamic professional with strong thought leadership, excellent client delivery capabilities and deep subject matter expertise in a variety of publicly funded healthcare delivery systems.

This person will participates in developing intellectual capital for the specialty area and will have responsibility for managing scope, timeliness, client satisfaction & budget and profitability for specialty work & monitoring success of projects.

The successful candidate will oversee project teams and workstreams, be responsible for product quality, timelines and budget, and serve as a key thought leader and trusted advisor between the client and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. This candidate will also be instrumental to increasing and sustaining growth with staff teams and clients, new and existing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the Federal Health Practice leadership team.
  • Serve as the delivery leader and subject matter expert (SME) for a variety of different publicly funded health systems, providing expert guidance and strategic direction.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, ensuring workstreams are completed on time, within scope, and within budget to meet client expectations.
  • Lead and mentor project staff, providing training, development opportunities, and performance feedback to build a high-performing team.
  • Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude & independence in assignments
  • Identify and capture organic growth opportunities within federal health client accounts to expand service offerings and enhance client value.
  • Provides input on pricing and profitability to client teams and business leaders
  • Supports sales effort through peer review and technical knowledge and project scope development
  • Proactively communicate delivery risks, issues, and staff performance to Federal Health Practice Leadership team, facilitating timely decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including health system experts, analysts, and client representatives, to drive project success.
  • Develop and oversee detailed project plans, status reports, and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Has an active license for a qualified healthcare professional
  • Proven experience in health transformation thought leadership for federal health or related sectors with on-the-ground experience supporting publicly funded health systems from a government perspective.
  • Deep technical knowledge of the healthcare system with the ability to work cross-functionally between clinical, financial, policy, operations and data analytics SMEs and teams.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with a track record of training and developing staff in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with managed healthcare (commercial, Medicaid managed care, Medicare Advantage, TRICARE, ...)
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with internal and external senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify business development opportunities and contribute to account growth strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and supervise others in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid or remote position supporting Public Sector Federal Health clients.
  • Flexible work hours may be required to accommodate client needs and collaboration across time zones but otherwise typical eastern standard working hour 9am - 5pm.
  • Travel is required (25%) and fluctuates based on client engagements and staffing needs.

All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $132 500 to $265 000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
