**About the role.**

McCain is on an ambitious digital transformation journey, investing in data platforms, analytics, and technology to drive business growth and enhance customer experience. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in building scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that power analytics and machine learning initiatives. This role partners closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable data\-driven decision\-making across the organization.

**What you’ll be doing.**

* Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines across multiple data sources * Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for analytics and business use cases * Collaborate with data architects to develop and optimize data models and storage solutions * Partner with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions * Monitor and optimize performance of data systems to support future growth * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers * Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data systems and processes

**What you’ll need to be successful.**

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field * 5–7\+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala * Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop * Strong knowledge of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) * Hands\-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud * Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehousing, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow) * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills

**Preferred qualifications:**

* Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization technologies * Prior leadership or mentorship experience in data engineering projects * Relevant cloud or data engineering certifications

You will be part of the Data, AI and Analytics function within McCain’s Digital Technology team, working in a highly collaborative environment alongside data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders. This team is focused on building enterprise data capabilities that support global transformation initiatives and enable data\-driven innovation across the organization.

***Compensation Package****: $69,700\.00 \- $93,000\.00* *. CAD annually \+ Bonus Eligibility*
