Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving product, process, and production quality issues. This position works closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to reduce defects and scrap, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

· Investigate and troubleshoot product, processes, and production issues to minimize internal defects and scrap.

· Review part qualification documentation, which may include First Article Inspections, Gage R&R studies, PFMEAs, capability studies, control plans, and process validations.

· Develop sampling plans and establish inspection requirements.

· Determine appropriate testing methods, gages, and equipment.

· Collaborate with suppliers to develop quality plans, process controls, and inspection methods.

· Perform root cause analyses and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

· Partner with customers and suppliers to address and resolve quality concerns.

· Conduct and participate in internal, customer, and supplier audits.

· Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

· Develop, maintain, and revise process documentation to support quality and operational objectives.

Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Three to five years of quality assurance or quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience with ISO 9001 standards and manufacturing systems.

· Knowledge of testing and measurement techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), 8D corrective action, and 5 whys.

· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and evaluate manufacturing processes, components, and equipment.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Epicor experience is preferred.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers.
