Position: Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Expert — Data Centers Type: Contract Compensation: $100–$140/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 5–10 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Review complex engineering tasks in data-center projects to ensure realistic design and construction scenarios.
- Evaluate structural and civil design, geotechnical inputs, and compliance with building codes and AHJ requirements.
- Identify and resolve ambiguities, conflicting documents, and unrealistic deliverables.
- Improve task prompts, acceptance criteria, and programmatic checks for better alignment with professional standards.
- Produce clear technical findings and validate tasks from start to finish.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve task quality.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 2+ yearsof experience in data centers or complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong command of U.S. building codes and engineering standards.
- Ability to interpret large document sets, specifications, and technical registers.
Preferred
- Experience in roles such as Senior Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, or Project Architect.
- PE, SE, or RAcredentials.
- Experience at a leading multidisciplinary AECor consulting engineering firm.
