Half-Day Fundraising and Marketing Officer
MES is looking for a passionate, driven individual to join our Gqeberha branch on a half-day basis as our Fundraising and Marketing Officer.

About the Role
You will help fundraise, market, and build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure our Gqeberha branch is resourced to carry out its services. This includes developing content for our newsletters, website, and social media, and supporting the donor recruitment and donor care plan for corporates, churches, and foreign partners.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Support an annual income forecast with set targets, in collaboration with the Branch Manager and National Fundraising and Marketing Manager
- Implement donor recruitment, donor approaches, and donor care for corporate, church, government, and foreign donors
- Identify and research new fundraising and donor engagement opportunities
- Prepare quality proposals and feedback reports for donors, sent out on time
Public Relations and Marketing
- Support content development for newsletters, website, digital marketing, social media, and media releases
- Source stories, photos, and videos through engagement with the public, clients, and donors
- Support campaigns, events, and goods in kind drives in liaison with the Branch Manager and Programme Managers
Administration
- Submit monthly reports and monitor progress against set indicators
- Ensure accurate data capturing of donor engagement in Salesforce
- Collaborate with Programme Managers, the Marketing team, and Finance on opportunities, campaigns, and events
What We're Looking For
- A relevant tertiary qualification, with at least 3 years' experience as a fundraiser in the NGO sector
- A valid driver's licence
- Strong written and spoken English
- Knowledge of MS Office and Canva
- Experience in sales and knowledge of current fundraising trends and best practice
- Experience with Salesforce is an advantage
