Job Summary
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (6+ years) who can own our GCP infrastructure and CI/CD delivery end-to-end, while also being comfortable working across the stack — supporting deployment, performance, and reliability of our Python backend services and React.js frontend. This is a DevOps-first role with full-stack fluency: you'll spend most of your time on infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability, and the rest partnering closely with engineering on service architecture, data pipelines, and deployment of application code.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Platform
- Design, deploy, and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Manage, scale, and secure production workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) using Docker and Helm.
- Implement and tune autoscaling for backend services and data pipelines to ensure reliability under load.
- Manage GCP IAM, access permissions, and secure infrastructure configuration.
CI/CD & Delivery
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for microservices and React.js application deployments.
- Drive GitOps-style promotion flows, release automation, and deployment reliability across environments.
Data & Application Layer
- Administer and optimize PostgreSQL and StarRocks (or similar OLAP databases) for performance at scale.
- Manage RabbitMQ (or similar message brokers) for asynchronous, high-throughput processing.
- Develop and maintain containerized ETL pipelines for high-volume data processing.
- Collaborate on backend service architecture (Python) and support deployment/performance of React.js front-end applications.
Observability & Reliability
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, Datadog) to proactively catch production issues.
- Automate routine operational tasks and build integration tooling in Python.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or Full-Stack Engineering roles, with strong DevOps/platform ownership.
- Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); AWS experience is a strong plus given transferable Kubernetes/IaC patterns.
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes (GKE or equivalent, e.g., EKS).
- Proficiency with Docker and Helm.
- Strong Python scripting/automation skills (Bash a plus).
- Experience with PostgreSQL and at least one OLAP/analytical database (StarRocks, ClickHouse, or similar).
- Experience with RabbitMQ or a comparable message broker.
- Working experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and monitoring stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog).
- Comfort working alongside or directly on React.js/TypeScript application deployments (deep frontend authorship not required — deployment, performance, and integration fluency is).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience optimizing or deploying React.js applications in production.
- Understanding of GCS object storage lifecycle policies.
- Experience leading infrastructure security audits or reviews.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (GCP + AWS/Azure).
- Experience mentoring engineers or driving technical standards across a team.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
