Michelmersh Brick Holdings are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team at our Danehill (Sussex) plant as a Maintenance Engineer.
£16.60 per hour Danehill, Sussex
The successful applicant will work in our Maintenance department, supporting the continuous improvement of all factory areas such as: health & safety, production output, environmental impact, and efficiency & productivity. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring downtime is minimized and company standards are complied with.
An awareness of health and safety must be demonstrated in the workplace at all times.
Job specification
- Provide plant wide maintenance service, departmental support and mechanical repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained
- Follow the company isolation & lock off procedure at all times
- Complete all work instructions in an efficient manner
- Develop knowledge of the plant
- Monitor & supply mechanical support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that products conform to quality assurance standards, whilst ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible
- Liaise with line manager to ensure that all production & maintenance requirements are undertaken
- Carry company radio at all times
- Ensure work is conducted effectively during factory shutdown periods – maintenance personnel will be expected to work during these times
- Monday to Friday working pattern
Previous experience & Qualifications
- Qualified mechanical engineer
- Demonstrable experience in mechanical skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage to the successful applicant
