F/T Correctional Psychologist MindCare Solutions, a clinician-owned and operated leader in comprehensive mental health care, is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide exceptional mental health services in a corrections facility. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, Compensation: up to $85/hr Location: telehealth (CA licensed) Position Summary: As a psychologist, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, including psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions, to individuals within a correctional setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals, ensuring care aligns with ethical and legal standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact while working in a supportive and mission-driven environment. Conduct psychological evaluations to assess mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and provide diagnoses with treatment recommendations Assess mental status and symptom severity to determine need for higher level of care, observation, or special placement (e.g., suicide risk) Provide psychotherapy and counseling services Refer patients to psychiatrists or other providers for medication management when appropriate Monitor awareness of psychotropic medications, support compliance, and identify/report potential side effects Train staff to recognize suicide risk factors and implement prevention strategies Deliver in-service education and crisis intervention training to medical and correctional staff Maintain accurate documentation, records, and required reports Collaborate with physicians and psychiatrists on patient care Participate in quality-of-care reviews and improvement efforts Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution Active state psychology license (must be maintained on file) Prior correctional experience preferred (1+ years) Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and situational awareness Benefits (W2): Clinician-first mentality Competitive Salary Malpractice Coverage Full Health & Wellness Benefits HSA/FSA 401k with 4% match Disability Life/ Ad&D Positive/Motivated Culture Company-Paid Holidays PTO Bereavement Leave Originally posted on Himalayas
