An exciting opportunity exists for an entrepreneurial and commercially strong General Manager, Sales Leader or Business leader with demonstrated experience in sales and manufacturing or production environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the operations, strengthen customer relationships, identify new opportunities and take full accountability for business performance
- Create alignment between sales, customers and factory operations
- Encourage accountability, initiative and commercial thinking across the business
- Take overall responsibility for the commercial performance and growth of the business
- Assume full accountability for P&L and Financial Management
- Develop and execute budgets and ensure delivery against agreed financial targets
- Identify, pursue and convert new commercial opportunities to improve revenue, margins and overall business performance
- Maintain a strong awareness of factory operations and their impact on the customer experience
- Work closely with the Factory Manager to ensure effective coordination between commercial and operational activities
- Make informed decisions around stock and inventory requirements
- Balance sales growth with sound operational execution
Requirements:
- Strong sales and commercial experience
- Experience working with budgets, profitability and/or P&L accountability
- Strong customer orientation and relationship ability
- Operational understanding to appreciate the importance of factory performance and execution
- Strong understanding of stock management, procurement and supply chain
- Must be hands-on and take accountability for outcomes
- Cape Town based
