What you’ll bring
- 1–3 years of hands-on software development in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Comfortable building and consuming REST APIs, and working with JSON, Git and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Has built at least one working chatbot or AI agent on an LLM API (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar), at work, freelance or as a serious personal project.
- Good grasp of prompt engineering, tool/function calling and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG): embeddings, vector search and chunking.
- Can debug a bot that gives wrong answers, explain why it happened, and write test cases to keep it fixed.
- Deploy bots to websites, WhatsApp, Slack and Microsoft Teams, and integrate them with client APIs and business tools.
- Nice to have: LangChain/LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK or CrewAI; vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, Qdrant or Chroma; MCP.
- Nice to have: bot platforms (Dialogflow, Rasa, Botpress, Voiceflow), voice bots (speech-to-text and text-to-speech), Docker and cloud deployment, and React for chat interfaces.
- Clear written English, ownership of your work and genuine curiosity about a field that changes every month.
- A GitHub link, demo or short write-up of a bot or agent you have built: what it did, the stack, and a problem you solved along the way.
