About You

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a role where you can lead interesting projects that make a real difference?

Would you enjoy working on projects that explore low-carbon mine water heat, environmental improvements and new services that could help shape the future of our work?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll already have experience delivering projects from planning through to completion and be comfortable managing multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines. You'll know how to keep projects moving forward, manage risks and overcome challenges when they arise. The role requires someone who can work independently, take ownership and confidently lead projects from start to finish.

We're looking for someone who enjoys finding practical solutions, building positive relationships and working with a wide range of people. You'll be able to communicate clearly, analyse information, monitor progress and provide updates that help others make informed decisions.

You don't need experience in our sector, but you will have experience managing projects from planning through to delivery and a good understanding of project management principles and best practice. Experience of introducing improvements, new processes, products or services would be particularly valuable.

You'll also be able to travel when required to our Mansfield office and project sites across the UK, including North East England and South East Scotland.

About The Role

This is a temporary opportunity covering a colleague's secondment, giving you the chance to join an established team and make an immediate impact on a varied portfolio of projects.

As a Project Manager in our Innovation, By-Products and Service Delivery team, you'll help turn new ideas into practical projects that deliver real environmental and business benefits. You'll work on a range of projects, including low-carbon mine water heat, by-products and other innovative opportunities.

You'll be responsible for planning and managing projects from start to finish, working with colleagues, partners and suppliers to make sure projects are delivered safely, effectively and to agreed timescales. You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders, provide regular project updates and help identify opportunities to improve the way we work.

This is a role with plenty of variety. Alongside office and home-based working, you'll occasionally visit sites to support project activities, undertake monitoring and supervision activities, and see first-hand the impact of the work being delivered.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help bring new ideas to life and ensure successful projects become part of our day-to-day operations, creating lasting benefits for the organisation and the communities we serve.

Role location: Hybrid Working (Remote but Connected)

This role is home-based, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for much of the time. However, being connected to your team, stakeholders and projects is an important part of the role. You'll be expected to travel regularly to our Mansfield office, project sites and other locations across the UK to support collaboration, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.

Schedule:

Application closing date:26th October 2026

Sifting date:28th October 2026

Interviews: w/c 2nd November 2026

(If you are unavailable on these interview dates, please make us aware, and we will look at alternative dates)
