The opportunity
As a Senior Analyst, FP&A – Investment, you will join our high performing Investment Finance team in Sydney. This position partners closely with Fund Analysts, Asset Management, Development Finance and Group FP&A, and will contribute to the delivery of reliable forecasting, insightful performance reporting and robust analytics across our Investment portfolio.
Please note this is a 9-month maternity leave cover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and consolidate Investment monthly forecast reporting with latest forecast number which covers NOI, capex, incentives, cashflow, balance sheet drives as well as operational metrics. Provides variance analysis and insightful commentaries to support decision making.
- Collaborate effectively with Fund analysts to complete Investment Monthly reporting pack on different sectors.
- Preparation of Investment quarterly forecasting, maintaining data integrity and alignment across MRI IM, Anaplan and BI. Lead the investigation and resolution of system and data-flow issues, strengthen governance and controls, and translate complex financial information into clear insights and high-quality presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Preparation of half-year and full-year Investment performance analysis, identifying key financial and operational drivers, explaining material variances and providing clear insights to senior stakeholders.
- Apply strong analytical and commercial judgement to variance analysis, identifying underlying performance drivers, emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently articulate complex financial information, analysis and recommendations in a clear and tailored manner to a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management.
- Enhance reporting efficiency through process optimisation, automation and standardisation using Excel, Power BI and other analytical tools.
About you
You are a professional with at least 5 years’ experience across FP&A, management accounting, investment analytics or commercial finance, ideally within property, funds management or real assets.
You’ll also have:
- Strong accounting fundamentals - ideally Management Accountant or Financial Accountant background.
- Proficiency with financial tools and systems (Excel; BI; Anaplan experience advantageous).
- High‑quality communication skills, with proven ability to engage with different stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with proactive attitude to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment,
- A continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated experience driving process efficiencies.
