605 Painting is a growing painting company serving Sioux Falls, SD and surrounding communities. We’re looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from start to finish while providing an excellent experience for homeowners and keeping crews on track.
This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with customers and crews, and able to solve problems when things don’t go according to plan.

About the Role
As Project Manager, you’ll be the person helping connect customers, painters, crew leads, sales, and the office.
You’ll manage multiple projects at once, visit jobsites, coordinate materials and schedules, communicate with homeowners, and make sure each project is completed properly and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Review new projects after the sale is completed
- Understand project scope, customer expectations, timelines, and materials
- Coordinate with scheduling, sales, painters, and crew leads
- Communicate with homeowners before and throughout projects
- Visit jobsites to monitor progress and quality
- Make sure crews understand project details and expectations
- Order/call in paint and coordinate materials
- Help remove roadblocks for crews
- Monitor projects to ensure work meets company standards
- Hold crews accountable to quality and timelines
- Communicate delays, changes, and next steps to customers
- Solve problems in the field quickly and professionally
- Complete final walkthroughs, touch-ups, and project closeouts
- Help drive customer satisfaction, final payment, and positive Google reviews
- Keep communication clear between customers, crews, and the internal team
- Represent 605 Painting with professionalism, energy, and ownership
What We’re Looking For
- Project management experience preferred
- Painting, construction, remodeling, restoration, home services, or trades experience strongly preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with homeowners
- Ability to manage multiple projects, crews, schedules, and details
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in the field and on jobsites
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to stay calm when things change
- Comfortable holding crews accountable

Compensation & Benefits
- Approximately $70,000/year, depending on experience
- Higher compensation may be considered for highly qualified candidates

Schedule
Monday–Friday
Project Managers are expected to be available when customers or crews need support. Occasionally, urgent customer or project issues may require communication or problem-solving outside normal business hours.
Work Area
Sioux Falls, SD and surrounding communities
- Ideal service area: within approximately 40–45 miles of Sioux Falls
- Some projects may require travel up to approximately 90 miles
- Primarily field-based
- Regular jobsite visits required
