**Job Title:** Senior Accountant **Location:** Kalighat, Kolkata **Salary:** Up to ₹60,000 per month
Job Summary
We are hiring a **Senior Accountant** who will take complete ownership of the company's finance and accounting function. The role requires managing end\-to\-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, financial reporting, and ensuring accurate maintenance of books of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle complete day\-to\-day accounting operations from voucher entry to finalization of accounts. * Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, journals, bank transactions, and reconciliations. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flow. * Handle GST compliance including return filing, reconciliations, and assessments. * Ensure timely filing of TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns as applicable. * Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities. * Prepare MIS reports, budget analysis, and financial statements for management. * Monitor statutory compliance and ensure adherence to accounting standards and government regulations. * Handle payroll accounting and related statutory deductions. * Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory accounting. * Identify process improvements and maintain strong internal financial controls. * Take complete ownership of the finance and accounts department independently.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com/CA Inter preferred. * 5\+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant handling complete accounts independently. * Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, statutory compliances, and return filing. * Experience in finalization of accounts and audit coordination. * Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to work independently with complete ownership and accountability.
