Position Summary
The Content Specialist is a part-time, in-person position focused on creating visual content and design work in support of Arizona Snowbowl's marketing efforts. This role works closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute content — including photo, video, and graphic design — that communicates key messages to guests and reflects the brand's identity. The position includes gathering content on-mountain or around the lodges, often early morning, while skiing, riding, or around the lodges. This role also leverages AI tools and builds AI-driven workflows to help automate and streamline content and design tasks and projects. The ideal candidate has a strong design background, an eye for visual storytelling, and a genuine passion for skiing and snowboarding.
Job Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Develop creative content including brand identity assets, video and photo, website design elements, advertisements (print & digital), and signage
- Produce short-form and long-form videos from concept through final product
- Capture visually engaging content on-mountain and around lodges, including early-morning ski/ride sessions, for use in advertising and promotional materials
- Iterate on design work within brand standards, incorporating feedback and direction as needed
Strategy & Collaboration
- Support the design & content strategy in collaboration with the marketing manager
- Coordinate with team members across departments to ensure content needs are met
- Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within scheduled working hours
- Adapt to shifting priorities, timelines, and project needs
Organization & Communication
- Maintain a clean and organized file structure for all content and assets
- Communicate design choices and decisions clearly and professionally
- Give and receive constructive feedback in a collaborative, team-oriented manner
AI-Driven Efficiency
- Use AI tools to support and streamline content/design-related tasks and projects
- Develop and maintain AI-powered workflows and tools that help automate recurring design and content processes
- Stay current on new AI tools and identify opportunities to apply them to improve design work and content creation
Job Qualifications
- 1–3 years of design & content-related work experience
- Multimedia design experience — Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, etc.
- Ability to work on-site, with some weekend and holiday availability as needed
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods; lift objects up to 25 pounds
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at once within a part-time schedule
- Comfortable using AI tools, with the ability to build simple AI-driven workflows or automations to support content or design tasks
- Hardworking, eager to learn, and a self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Bonus Skills
- Part 107 Drone License/Drone experience
- Previous experience in the ski industry
- Understanding of digital advertising platforms
- Strong skiing or snowboarding skills
- Proficiency in marketing or event analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or social media analytics platforms
- An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in new creative approaches
Physical Requirements
- Ability to ski or ride, and to carry camera and video equipment while doing so, in varying weather and snow conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods, including on-mountain and around the lodges
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather, wind, and snow, including during early-morning sessions before full grooming or patrol sweeps
- Ability to lift and carry camera, video, and lighting equipment up to 25 pounds, including while on skis or a snowboard
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods when performing editing and design work
- Ability to work at elevation (Arizona Snowbowl operates above 9,000 feet)
