An established accounting practice is looking for an experienced Head of Department: Outsourced Accounting to lead its accounting team and oversee the delivery of high-quality accounting, financial reporting and management accounting services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop the outsourced accounting team.
- Review monthly accounting files, transactions and management accounts to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of annual financial statements.
- Meet with clients to discuss financial performance, management accounts and business trends.
- Manage client queries and maintain strong client relationships.
- Monitor client profitability and financial performance for provisional tax purposes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' post-article experience (SAICA) in a financial reporting environment.
- Strong experience in preparing and reviewing management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Proven experience managing, reviewing and developing accounting teams.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Practical experience with Pastel Partner, QuickBooks and Xero is essential.
- Excellent communication, leadership and client relationship management skills.
