Job Title: Finance & Corporate Strategy Analyst

Department: Finance

Job Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

The Nashville Predators are seeking a highly motivated Finance & Corporate Strategy Analyst to support capital markets activities, financial modeling, economic planning, strategic analysis, capital projects and other key business initiatives across the organization.

This is a unique opportunity for an early-career finance professional to work within a professional sports organization while gaining exposure well beyond traditional team finance. In addition to supporting the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena, the Finance & Corporate Strategy Analyst will work closely with senior leadership and ownership on select strategic and investment initiatives, including potential professional sports team acquisitions, direct investments, real estate development and other sports and entertainment opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory or similar financial experience, strong financial modeling skills, and an interest in building a career at the intersection of sports, investing and real estate.

This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models, assist in budgets and long-range forecasts for the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena.
  • Analyze financial performance and key revenue streams, including ticketing, premium seating, sponsorship, suites, concessions, parking and events.
  • Support major capital projects incl. the financing and renovation of Bridgestone Arena.
  • Build financing models evaluating debt capacity, debt service, financial covenants, interest rates and alternative capital structures.
  • Evaluate proposals from investment banks, lenders, consultants and financial partners.
  • Prepare financial analyses, summaries, and presentations for senior management and ownership.
  • Build and grow AI automation strategy within the financial and accounting areas of business.
  • Perform valuation, returns, sensitivity and scenario analysis for strategic opportunities and capital investments.
  • Conduct benchmarking and comparable analysis across NHL teams, sports venues and related businesses.

Ownership & Special Projects

The Finance & Corporate Strategy Analyst will also have the opportunity to work directly with ownership and senior leadership on select projects outside the day-to-day operations of the Predators, which may include:

  • Evaluating potential acquisitions and investments in professional sports teams and leagues.
  • Underwriting direct investments in sports, media, entertainment and related businesses.
  • Evaluating real estate development opportunities, including sports and entertainment-related developments.
  • Building acquisition, valuation and investment-return models.
  • Supporting financial and commercial due diligence.
  • Analyzing potential debt and equity capital structures.
  • Preparing investment materials and recommendations for ownership.
  • Working with investment banks, private equity firms, lenders, attorneys, consultants and other outside advisors on transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a similarly rigorous financial role.
  • Excellent financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, financing and returns.
  • Experience with scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Frequent lifting, bending, walking and handling heavy equipment and props up to 50 lbs. required.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures and loud noise.
  • Ability to stand in an upright position for continuous period of time.
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
