About the Role:
We are looking for a Founding Executive Director to lead the entire lifecycle of this pioneering school—from design, construction, curriculum implementation, team hiring, to long-term impact and scale strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup, construction, and launch of the inaugural Pre-K/Kindergarten school in rural Bangladesh.
- Work closely with architects, curriculum experts, and local authorities to ensure timely, mission-aligned execution.
- Build and lead the founding school team—teachers, administrators, support staff—with a strong culture of excellence and care.
- Implement an NYC-based curriculum tailored to local contexts while maintaining international quality standards.
- Ensure safety, inclusivity, and holistic development of all enrolled students.
- Manage budgets, hiring, operational SOPs, community engagement, and compliance.
- Develop a replicable operational blueprint for expansion into India and Africa.
- Serve as the visionary ambassador of the project and build strong community, government, and donor relationships.
- Report periodically on milestones, challenges, and progress to the project sponsor.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in early childhood education, preferably with experience setting up or running a school or education NGO.
- Demonstrated success in school-building, curriculum implementation, or educational project leadership, preferably in low-resource or rural settings.
- Deep understanding of early childhood pedagogy, child safety, and teacher development.
- Passionate about education equity, community upliftment, and sustainable change.
- Fluent in Bengali and English; strong cultural sensitivity.
- Willing and able to relocate to rural Bangladesh for at least 12–18 months during the launch phase.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kolkata for long-term oversight.
- Highly autonomous, adaptable, resourceful, and able to lead in complex environments.
