About NexTerra
NexTerra Subterranean, Inc. is a growing geotechnical drilling, excavation, and site preparation company operating across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. We work on complex subsurface investigation projects for government agencies, municipal authorities, and private clients — including PennDOT, SEPTA, Amtrak, and major engineering firms. We are expanding our technical leadership team and looking for a senior professional to grow with us.
Position Overview
The Director of Geotechnical Services is a senior management role responsible for overseeing the technical operations of NexTerra’s subsurface investigation and drilling programs. The Director reports directly to the company owner and works alongside a dedicated Administrative Assistant, Field Supervisor, and Controller.

- Coordinate with the Controller on project budgets, cost tracking, and billing milestones
- Maintain and grow NexTerra’s technical reputation with existing and prospective clients
