At niuli, we're building software that makes complex pharmaceutical market data accessible, actionable and easier to work with. Our SaaS solutions digitalize pharmaceutical rebate agreements and market access processes, giving pharmaceutical companies a real advantage in efficiency and market intelligence.
As our first full-time software engineer, you'll work directly alongside our technical founder. Together, you'll develop the next generation of our products and shape our technical architecture – with real ownership and short decision-making paths.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and improve our backend systems, APIs and data processing workflows
- Analyze technical requirements, evaluate solutions and make architectural decisions
- Extend existing systems and data models while taking ownership of new features from concept to production
- Continuously improve the performance, security and maintainability of our systems
What You'll Work On
- Next-generation products: Design and implement new features and technical solutions for our SaaS products
- Machine Learning: Build on existing use cases and initial implementations to further develop and integrate ML capabilities into our products
- Internal data processing: Optimize existing data pipelines and expand automated processing of complex pharmaceutical market data
What You Bring
- Several years of professional experience in backend development, ideally with Node.js
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design and relational databases
- Ability to structure complex requirements, understand technical dependencies and critically evaluate possible solutions
- An independent, pragmatic approach, with an understanding of the bigger picture and a passion for hands-on development
- Good English communication skills for team collaboration – German is not required
What matters most to us: You think through solutions before implementing them. Your designs are coherent, consider existing dependencies and thoughtfully extend our architecture.
Working Hours & Setup
- Full-time – Hybrid, with 3 days per week at our Berlin office
- Based in Germany, preferably in the Berlin metropolitan area
